Blackstone Elevators is a manufacturer. Equipment is produced at our facility in Mugalivakkam, installed by our own technicians, and supported by engineers based in Chennai.

The practical consequence appears during the operating life of the installation rather than at handover. Replacement components are sourced domestically from the organisation that built the equipment, and technical queries are resolved without reference to an intermediary or an overseas supplier.

We manufacture across the full range rather than specialising in a single segment, which allows a recommendation to be made on the basis of building requirements rather than product availability.

Project requirements differ substantially between building types, and specification is approached accordingly.

Elevator performance depends on the combination of mechanical systems, control equipment, safety components, cabin design and installation engineering, rather than on any single element.

Our facility in Mugalivakkam manufactures and configures equipment to the approved project specification, with quality checks completed before dispatch. Manufacturing follows ISO-certified processes, and installation is carried out in line with applicable Indian Standards and the lift safety rules in force in Tamil Nadu.

Where a project requires a non-standard cabin dimension, entrance arrangement or finish, this is engineered at the specification stage rather than adapted on site.

Projects follow a defined sequence from first enquiry through to handover and ongoing service.

Maintenance forms a substantial part of our Chennai operations. Annual maintenance contracts cover scheduled preventive servicing, inspection of mechanical, electrical and safety systems, and breakdown support.

For older installations, modernization can improve reliability, usability and appearance without replacing the complete equipment. Controller upgrades, door systems, drive replacement, cabin refurbishment and fixture updates can frequently be carried out within the existing shaft.

We also evaluate elevators originally supplied by other manufacturers. A technical inspection establishes system condition, controller type, safety components and spare-part availability before service feasibility is confirmed.
